UKRAINE’S DIGITAL RESILIENCE: A CONVERSATION WITH DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF UKRAINE MYKHAILO FEDOROV - Ukraine’s impressive technology community has helped the country fight back against Russia’s full-scale invasion. While Ukrainian armed forces push Russia back on the battlefield, the country’s digital resilience efforts keep society functioning at home. The tech entrepreneurs, engineers, and government initiatives that have modernized Ukraine are now redeploying their talents to combat Russian aggression in the digital sphere and make urgently needed state services more efficient. This successful two-front approach has shown the world that Ukraine is a modern, functioning society fighting for its very existence.
How has Ukraine leveraged its technology expertise into an effective defense against hybrid threats from Russia? What can Western partners do to further strengthen Ukraine’s digital resilience? How can Ukraine’s tech community help drive foreign investment as the country seeks to rebuild?
Ambassador John Herbst, senior director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, opened a discussion on Ukraine’s digital revolution with H.E. Mykhailo Fedorov, deputy prime minister and minister of digital transformation of Ukraine, moderated by Melinda Haring, deputy director of the Eurasia Center, and co-sponsored by the US Chamber of Commerce.
