Sen. Chris Murphy: Ceasefire and hostage deal key for Israel, US security

"What we are seeking to do on a daily basis is set in order a ceasefire and hostage release deal that is good for the people of Israel, good for regional security, and ultimately good for the United States," said US Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) after being asked about the war in Gaza.
"I don't think any American leader should ever make a decision based upon what's good for the personal political prospects of any foreign leader," he added.
He made these remarks at an #acfrontpage event at the Atlantic Council headquarters in Washington, DC.
