IMEC DURING A TIME OF WAR - Join the Atlantic Council’s Project on Middle East Integration for a panel discussion on the Iran war and its associated threats to Middle East energy, digital, and trade infrastructure.
The Iran war threatens to undermine the investment climate for ambitious new infrastructure projects associated with the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). The war also underscores the importance of IMEC as a means to strengthen the resiliency of global trade, energy, and digital corridors.
The panel will identify what IMEC-associated projects could provide trade and energy alternatives to the Strait of Hormuz. Panelists will also discuss how IMEC countries can improve the resilience of new infrastructure to potential attacks and adapt their coordination efforts in a time of political instability.
