On Monday, April 13, the Atlantic Council hosted a conversation with Admiral Daryl Caudle, the 34th Chief of Naval Operations (CNO), on the recently released US Navy Fighting Instructions, a strategic framework for how the force will operate in a dynamic global security environment. This event was part of the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security’s flagship Commanders Series, supported by Saab.
The CNO joined the Atlantic Council to share insights into the core tenets of the new fighting instructions: Sailors First, Foundry, Fleet, and Fight. He explored the implementation of this document into the service and discuss the future of the US Navy and its ability to deter and dominate US adversaries.
