ESTONIAN FOREIGN MINISTER MARGUS TSAHKNA’S LESSONS FROM DEFENDING AGAINST RUSSIA - Join the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, Europe Center, and Transatlantic Security Initiative for a conversation with Margus Tsahkna, minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Estonia, to share Tallinn’s perspective on allied support for Ukraine and raising the costs of Russian aggression.
Estonia has been a vital supporter of Ukraine—providing assistance worth more than 1.4 percent of Estonia’s gross domestic product—and contributor to collective allied defense, especially since Russia’s full-scale 2022 invasion.
This conversation is moderated by Vivian Salama, staff writer for the Atlantic. Tsahkna will provide an essential eastern-flank perspective on the threat of Russian aggression to Europe and the NATO alliance. He will also share experiences countering Russian hybrid attacks against Estonia.
