NUCLEAR PARTNERSHIPS FROM AGREEMENTS TO GENERATION - Nuclear power will play a crucial role in Central and Eastern Europe’s energy transition by providing carbon-free, locally generated baseload power. The region is poised to revitalize the nuclear energy industry in Europe as countries invest in expanding existing plants while racing to deploy the next generation of nuclear energy technologies. To realize that potential, however, financial and logistical barriers must be overcome through coordinated transatlantic efforts. Reducing reliance on Russian nuclear fuel supply chains and service will be at the forefront of this collaboration.
How can the CEE region and international partners move from ambitious agreements to at-scale project deployment and operation and diversified supply chains?
