360/OPEN SUMMIT: THE WORLD IN MOTION - FOREIGN INTERFERENCE ALLEGATIONS IN THE 2020 US ELECTION - Beginning with the first reports of Russian sockpuppet activity on Facebook in late 2016, the issue of foreign interference made an indelible impact on American politics and culture. In the lead-up to the 2020 election, DFRLab researchers tracked and evaluated allegations of foreign interference in order to understand how they affected perceptions of election integrity more broadly. This talk will build upon that project, focusing on the power (and responsibility) that comes with making any allegation of foreign interference in an election.
