“I address this award to all our sweet children who have been killed by Russian terrorists," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said as he accepted the Atlantic Council's 2023 Global Citizen Award in New York.
Held annually during the United Nations General Assembly week in New York, the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Awards underscores our organization’s significantly expanded global mission and salutes a vast array of global citizens, ranging from heads of state to world-renowned artists.
