NOBEL PRIZE WINNER OLEKSANDRA MATVIICHUK ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND RUSSIAN AGGRESSION - Since Russia’s large-scale invasion, Matviichuk has worked to document Russia’s war crimes and spread global awareness of the Kremlin’s wider illegal actions in Ukraine and beyond. And as the Russian military continues to kill Ukrainian citizens, target Ukrainian infrastructure, and kidnap Ukraine’s children, the Kremlin is also continuing to build its dangerous authoritarian partnerships with Iran, China, and North Korea.
Matviichuk discusses key questions, including what steps the global community should take to bring Russia’s military to justice for war crimes it committed in Ukraine; the threats Russia’s growing partnerships with China, Iran, and North Korea pose; and how Ukraine’s Western allies can best ensure Ukraine’s peace, sovereignty, and security.
