A CONVERSATION WITH MIHAI POPȘOI, MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF MOLDOVA - In recent years, Moldova has made significant strides, with President Maia Sandu demonstrating strong leadership in steering the country toward European integration, particularly EU membership. Sandu has had to manage the challenges presented by Moscow’s war on Ukraine, weaponization of energy, and hybrid war tactics in Moldova itself.

With parliamentary elections set for this year, combating malign Russian influence in the country will continue to be critical for Moldova’s future. In this effort, Moldova has found strong support from the EU and the United States.
