"If we do not provide Ukraine the support it needs, we are going to have a larger national security problem," says Atlantic Council Senior Director and Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst.

"If we think that by appeasing Putin and 'giving him Ukraine,' we solve our Putin problem, we know nothing," Herbst said, adding a significant number of members of the US foreign policy community fall into this trap.
