DAYTON AT 30: WHAT’S NEXT FOR BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA? -
Join the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center for a conversation on the legacy of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the future for Bosnia and Herzegovina within the wider Western Balkans.
Signed on November 21, 1995, Dayton brought an end to the armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina and marked a major turning point for peace in the former Yugoslavia. Now as the agreement reaches its thirtieth anniversary this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina is again toward the top of the transatlantic agenda in the Western Balkans, as the country’s future institutional stability and regional relations face challenging headwinds.
The Europe Center, as part of its #BalkansForward Initiative, is convening a panel of experts and former diplomats to discuss the legacy of Dayton today and the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its role in the Western Balkans region.
