"I don't think, at the end of the day, we're going to have a formal peace agreement," said former US Ambassador to the European Union Stuart Eizenstat, reflecting on the likelihood of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine to end the war in the region. He believes there may be an arrangement more like the 1953 Armistice Agreement in Korea.

Ambassador Eizenstat also stressed the importance of continuing to support President Zelensky and not negotiate behind his back: "this is his war, and we have to be supportive of it," he said.

He made these remarks during an event held at the Atlantic Council headquarters in Washington, DC.
