TRANSATLANTIC RELATIONS IN AN ERA OF UPHEAVAL - Join the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center for a discussion that explores Europe’s evolving geopolitical ambitions and their implications for the transatlantic relationship in 2026.
This has been a tumultuous year for Europe. Russia’s war in Ukraine and the conflict in Iran continue to challenge Europe’s security and economic footing. Tensions over these issues and more, including trade relations and Greenland, have continued to test the transatlantic relationship. These developments have intensified discussions about Europe’s ability to act as a capable geopolitical actor.
Following the meeting of the European Council on March 19-20, this event convenes Atlantic Council experts to examine how Europe is navigating the current conflicts and geopolitical shifts, and what these efforts mean for the future of relations between Europe and the US.
