VETERANS IN CYBER: TRANSITION PATHWAYS FROM SERVICE TO CYBER - Please join the Atlantic Council’s Cyber Statecraft Initiative, within the Digital Forensic Research Lab, for a panel discussion focusing on transitioning veterans who are looking to pursue careers in cyber and cyber policy. The session includes a group of speakers from a variety of backgrounds who talk through military-to-civilian workforce transition, highlight useful programs and opportunities, best practices, potential challenges, and answer questions from the audience.
Before the panel, Ambassador Nathaniel Fick, U.S. Ambassador at Large for Cyberspace and Digital Policy, delivers pre-recorded remarks to address the importance of preparing to transition from the armed services to the private sector, and the opportunities in cyberspace and cyber policy for service men and women across the spectrum of education.
The panel discussion features Lindsay Knight, Chief Impact Officer at Blue Star Families; Matt Noyes, Cyber Policy and Strategy Director at the U.S. Secret Service; Katherine Hutton, Fellow, Atlantic Council Veterans Advanced Energy Project; and Joe Wallis, Director, Military Engagement and Military Affairs at Microsoft. The panel will be moderated by Al Hanson, Assistant Director, Cyber Statecraft Initiative, Atlantic Council.
