HOW MOSCOW MANUFACTURED THE MYTH OF PUTIN’S INEVITABLE VICTORY - Join the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center for a discussion featuring Ruslan Stefanchuk, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, on Russian narratives around its war against Ukraine versus the reality on the ground.
In the face of Russia’s brutal ongoing assault, Ukraine has demonstrated remarkable and steadfast resistance. The Kremlin has attempted to undermine perceptions of Ukraine’s resilience by flooding the information space with false narratives of Russia’s supposedly inevitable victory. However, Ukrainians have mostly held the front lines in place—fighting a battle not only in the trenches, but also online and in the media as Russia’s narratives aim to denigrate Ukraine’s resistance and right to exist.
This conversation, moderated by Ambassador John Herbst, will explore Russia’s campaign to shape the narrative of its war on Ukraine.
