A NEXT-GENERATION AGENDA: BRIDGING SOUTH KOREAN & NATO PERSPECTIVES ON SECURITY - The Atlantic Council’s Indo-Pacific Security Initiative (IPSI), housed in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, hosts a virtual panel discussion on A next generation agenda: Bridging South Korean & NATO perspectives on security. This event marks the launch of the issue brief, which incorporates key findings and recommendations from a series of private roundtables held over the past year with leading Indo-Pacific, US, and European experts.
Historically, NATO and South Korea have focused on security challenges of a singular adversary and failed to consider the mutually reinforcing aspects of global threats. The issue brief recommends seizing the current window of opportunity to enable closer operational and strategic cooperation among likeminded countries in Europe, North America, and the Indo-Pacific.
