WARSAW WEEK 2024: A TRANSATLANTIC AGENDA FOR AN ERA OF CONFLICT AND CONFRONTATION - As Europe bands together to fend off the rise of authoritarianism and growing insecurity on Europe’s eastern front, Central and Eastern European countries such as Poland have voiced their support for greater EU integration to improve regional security and stability. While the EU has stated that it views enlargement to the Western Balkans as a strategic priority, limited progress has been made in their accession. How can partners such as Poland and its Central European neighbors build on their mutual experience facilitate the European integration of the Western Balkans? How will the EU’s newly announced Western Balkans Growth Plan facilitate the region’s access to the EU’s single market? What must the Western Balkans do to ready themselves to join the EU?
