THE 2023 US-CARIBBEAN BANKING FORUM: SHAPING THE NEXT DECADE OF REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - As the Caribbean faces a myriad of crises—from climate change to financial de-risking and high import costs—economic growth in the region needs a boost. Addressing challenges requires access to global markets and support from regional and foreign partners, such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the United States. With collective action, Caribbean countries and their partners can work together to build a long-term and sustainable economic future.
On Thursday, November 9, the opening session of the 2023 US-Caribbean Banking Forum was held at the Inter-American Development Bank with the Atlantic Council and the Caribbean Association of Banks. The conversation kickstarted the Forum with a focus on the role of Caribbean partners in supporting regional economic development.
