09-Jan-2024
One year ago, many economists were convinced the US was headed for a mild recession, Europe would face a deeper one, and China would enjoy a robust rebound.
What a difference a year can make.
In the Eurozone recession was avoided, in the US a soft landing is in sight, and today China is struggling to regain its pre-Covid economy and avoid a crisis in its property sector.

Join Jan Hatzius, Chief Economist at Goldman Sachs and Josh Lipsky, Senior Director of the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center, for a conversation on the outlook for the global economy in 2024.
