A conversation with Admiral Lisa Franchetti on the Navy’s 2024 Navigation Plan
A CONVERSATION WITH ADMIRAL LISA FRANCHETTI ON THE NAVY’S 2024 NAVIGATION PLAN - The Atlantic Council will host a conversation with Admiral Lisa Franchetti, Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) to discuss the recently released Navigation Plan for America’s Warfighting Navy—her strategic guidance to the Navy during her tenure. This event is part of the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security’s flagship Commanders Series, generously supported by Saab.
The CNO will join the Atlantic Council to share insights into her focus on expanding the Navy’s contribution to the joint and combined warfighting ecosystem. She will discuss her intent to accelerate her man, train, and equip responsibilities to raise the baseline readiness of the Fleet and be more ready for the growing challenges of tomorrow. She will highlight that the success of this NAVPLAN will only be possible with the close and consultative cooperation with US allies and partners around the world.
As the Navy remains postured and ready to preserve the peace, respond in crisis, and win decisively if called, the CNO wants attendees to learn about her guidance and her intent to prioritize readiness, capability, and capacity in that order as the Navy supports global operations.
