THE NEW MEXICAN ADMINISTRATION: A CONVERSATION WITH AMBASSADOR KEN SALAZAR - On June 2, Mexico, the United States’ top trading partner, will elect its next president. Mexico’s next president has a unique opportunity to build on the partnership with the United States. With shared interests and challenges, this pivotal moment could serve as the launching pad for renewed strategies to address mutual areas of interest such as economic cooperation, security improvements, and migration.

Ambassador Salazar will join the Atlantic Council for his first public address following the June 2 elections.
Ambassador Salazar has served as United States ambassador since August 2021 and previously served as US secretary of interior, US senator, and Colorado attorney general.
