SPAIN’S FOREIGN MINISTER ON MADRID’S APPROACH TO EUROPEAN AND GLOBAL SECURITY - Join the Atlantic Council’s Transatlantic Security Initiative for an #ACFrontPage conversation with José Manuel Albares Bueno, the Spanish minister for foreign affairs, European Union, and cooperation. The event will take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York City.
As Russia’s war in Ukraine rages on, Spain continues to play a leading role on major issues confronting Europe and the transatlantic community. Accordingly, the Spanish government earlier this year released its Foreign Action Strategy, setting out Spain’s vision for a stronger Europe and its role in supporting democracy, peace, and security around the globe.
Against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump’s return to the White House and a shifting geopolitical landscape, Albares will discuss Spain’s strategy for addressing the most pressing issues facing Europe, NATO’s southern flank, and the transatlantic alliance.
This event is part of our #ACinNY series, happening on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
