FRENCH FOREIGN MINISTER JEAN-NOËL BARROT ON EUROPE AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER - Join the Atlantic Council for an #ACFrontPage conversation featuring French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot on Europe and the new world order.
France has worked to shore up transatlantic unity at a time of historic upheaval by working to maintain a permanent and confident dialogue between the two sides of the Atlantic. At the same time, France has committed to a stronger Europe reaching for more strategic autonomy that will benefit the transatlantic relationship as the continent seeks to define the future of the European security architecture. Beyond the continent, France like many other European powers continues to maintain a global outlook recently, within the framework of its presidency of the United Nations Security Council, giving priority to issues regarding the Middle East, Ukraine, and Africa. France is also committed to reshaping multilateralism and enhancing its efficiency, representation, and capacity to address global challenges.
