EU-US DEFENSE & FUTURE FORUM - How are the European Union and the United States preparing for the next COP28 gathering in Dubai? Both EU and US policymakers have set ambitious climate goals on reaching net-zero emissions and protecting nature, and fighting climate change is central to foreign policy priorities in both Washington and Brussels. Much work remains, particularly to engage with third countries and the international community. Senior EU and US climate negotiators convene to discuss transatlantic coordination and the intersection of climate issues and diplomacy in the immediate lead-up to COP28.
